Woodhull Students Win
Suffolk Zone Awards

Woodhull Intermediate School sixth graders Camille Stafford and Sean Paton were honored by the Suffolk Zone of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance for their outstanding leadership and overall excellence in physical education.

Woodhull's dynamic duo picked up their awards during a ceremony held for honorees at Bay Shore High School. "They are both phenomenal students and deserve to be recognized," said Carrie Postel, a Woodhull physical education teacher. "They both do as expected in physical education class and try their best each and every day. They are great role models for others."

The annual awards event honored dozens of top physical education students from across Suffolk. "It was an opportunity to promote physical education programs to the parent community, too," Mrs. Postel said.

Ms. Stafford and Mr. Paton "performed well in the areas of fitness, citizenship and leadership," Mrs. Postel said.
