Blue Devil Fall Coaching Staff in Place

Football Coaches

The Blue Devil fall coaching staff is in place after Huntington School Board members approved several dozen appointments during a July 5 meeting of trustees.

Steven Muller is returning as the varsity football team's head coach. He will be assisted by James McCabe, Joe Poller, Ron Wilson and Todd Jamison.

The fall Blue Devil staff will also include Eli Acosta (varsity boys' cross country), Jose Alfaro (JV boys' soccer), Debra Cheskes (varsity girls' cross country), Nancy Conlon (Finley field hockey), Michael Bifulco (asst. Finley-8 football), Krista Fee (Finley co-ed cross country), Jamie Fishlow (varsity girls' tennis), Lynn Hefele (JV girls' volleyball), Chris Helmke (varsity girls' swimming), Philip Lowe (Finley-7 football), Michael Marinello (varsity golf), Margaret McConnell (asst. varsity girls' swimming) and Eric Mininni (JV girls' tennis).

Rounding out the fall season staff will be Margaret McConnell (varsity asst. girls' swimming), Christopher Mooney (varsity boys' volleyball), John Pagano (varsity boys' soccer), Matthew Perlongo (Finley boys' soccer), Caroline Reilly (varsity girls' volleyball), Linda Costello-Roth (Finley girls' soccer), Jillian Seher (varsity field hockey), Jason Suarez (asst. varsity boys' soccer), Vincent Tannazzo (asst. varsity girls' soccer), Kevin Thorbourne (Finley-8 football), Eric Triolo (Finley girls' tennis), John Walsh (varsity girls' soccer), Nancy Wilson (JV field hockey) and Kathleen Wright (varsity asst. field hockey).

Georgia McCarthy, Huntington's director of athletics, is working to fill a handful of fall coaching vacancies. Trustees are expected to appoint individuals to those positions when the School Board meets in August.

The high school football season will kick-off with practice on Thursday, August 18 at 8 a.m. All other high school fall sports teams will begin practicing on Monday, August 29 at 8 a.m. Finley Middle School teams will open the fall season on Thursday, September 8 at 3 p.m.
