PTA Presidents to Meet

The Huntington School District's PTA presidents are set to meet on Tuesday, September 28 at 9:45 a.m. in the superintendent's conference room in the district office.

The PTA presidents will meet with the PTA Council executive board. The group typically meets in closed session once a month and discusses issues at each building and news regional and state PTA organizations.

Superintendent John J. Finello reports to the group on major issues in the district and listens to specific concerns raised by the PTA officials.

OOMPAH Summer Facts

Several hundred Huntington students participated in last summer's OOMPAH arts enrichment program. It was a fun-filled and educational week made possible by those who worked with the young people, who were spread across grades 4-9.

Nicole Lynch, who coordinates the summer program, said courses were led by ten certified teachers, two college student-teachers and 24 high school students.
