Trustees Award Slots for Universal Pre-Kindergarten

 

Huntington School Board members authorized the Family Service League and Development Disabilities Institute to provide universal pre-kindergarten services during the 2010/11 school year.

 

District officials opened up three responses to a request for proposal on April 5. “As of this juncture we have 146 available slots in the program, which is totally funded by New York State,” said David H. Grackin, assistant superintendent for finance and management services.

 

Trustees awarded the Family Service League 126 slots with DDI receiving authorization for 20 slots in the program.
