Huntington Kindergarten Registration Nears
The Huntington School District has announced kindergarten screening and registration dates for children who will be five years old by December 1, 2010. Parents or guardians should call the kindergarten registration hotline as soon as possible at 673-4299 to secure a registration packet.
Kindergarten registration is by appointment only. Registration will be held on March 16-17 and 25-26 and April 7-8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There are several documents that parents or guardians must bring with them to the registration including, proof of the child’s birth, record of immunizations, two proofs of residency in the district and proof of guardianship and a photo ID.
“Obtaining a registration packet early is important,” said Noreen Hernandez, who is coordinating the registration program for the district. For more information call the hotline or e-mail Ms. Hernandez at nhernandez@hufsd.edu.
