Huntington Strong on National French Exam

Teacher Deidre Mayer gave a big “merci” to all of her Huntington High School French class students who challenged themselves on this year’s national French exams.

Huntington’s strong performance was led by Nicolas Maiarelli, who placed seventh for Level 3, Ariel Wertheim, who was eighth for Level 5 and Christina Branchedor, who earned ninth place for Level 5.

“Ariel Wertheim has accomplished an amazing feat,” Mrs. Mayer said. “He has placed in the top ten each year for the duration of his high school career on an incredibly difficult exam.”

An evening “Distribution Des Prix” award ceremony was held to celebrate the achievements of the top Long Island finishers on the challenging series of exams.
