PTA Says Goodbye to
Denise D’Attolico

As Denise D’Attolico’s two-year term as Huntington School District PTA Council president draws to a close, she was recognized by her colleagues toward the end of the PTA’s annual luncheon earlier this month.

“At a time when the district was in quite a bit of turmoil, Denise was the driving force in keeping us going,” PTA Council co-Vice President Marilyn Maggio told the luncheon crowd. “She was a role model, a sounding board, a protector, a motivator and the glue that kept us together. She was the backbone that kept us united and we thank you. We thank you for giving your blood, sweat and tears. You have been a true leader and will be missed.”

Ms. D’Attolico was presented with several gifts in recognition of her service to the district’s PTA and school children. She walked off to warm applause.

The PTA Council’s incoming president is Bari Fehrs, a veteran of school PTA organizations in the district.
