Thomas Boisclair, a Huntington High School sophomore, has been selected to represent Astoria Federal Savings in the 2010 Lights, Camera, Save! video contest sponsored by the American Bankers Association.

Mr. Boisclair was among a number of Huntington video arts program students who entered the contest. He will receive a special certificate and $100 Best Buy gift card during a presentation at Astoria Federal's Huntington branch office located at 839 New York Avenue.

Huntington's video program is led by teacher Heather Swan. Students in the program have won an assortment of awards for their work in recent years. Huntington's entries in the ABA contest were impressive. "We appreciated the creativity and video editing techniques used by your students," wrote Karen Meyers, Astoria's manager of special events, in a letter to Mrs. Swan.

A panel of judges selected Mr. Boisclair as the winner of the local contest, which is celebrating its first year. He will now advance to the ABA's national video competition. The Huntington students who entered the competition are being given certificates of appreciation in recognition of their high quality work.
