Thompson and Catanese Finish
with a Flourish

Allison Thompson and Danielle Catanese closed out their Huntington High School lacrosse careers with a flourish this past spring. The sensational players, who were among five Blue Devil captains, compiled an impressive set of statistics under head coach Nancy Wilson and assistant coach Brad Reminick.

The pair was rewarded with post-season recognition as Thompson earned All-County honors and Catanese grabbed a spot on the All-County honorable mention squad.

Thompson’s final high school season saw her record 19 goals, 17 assists, 12 draw controls, eight ground balls, nine interceptions and five forced turnovers from her midfield position.

From her attack position, Catanese displayed strong feeding and play development skills en route to scoring 27 goals and contributing seven assists.

Thompson is headed to the University of Maryland at College Park in the fall while Catanese will attend Sacred Heart University in Connecticut.
