Huntington Music Idol Finals on Thursday Night



The Huntington High School auditorium is the place to be this Thursday night (April 22) as the Huntington Music Idol finals are set to unfold beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10. A large crowd is expected to attend.
Competing in the high school division are John Ferraiolo, Kiersten Freiman, Tommy Monks, Lauren Corcoran, Daniel Herion, Josh Morris, Kristina Casale, Joshua Stickell, Cassidhe Lofaso and Jalisha Wells.



The J. Taylor Finley Middle School division includes Stephanie Shea, Marissa Acton, Hailey Giordano, Kristin Berner, Hannah Maiorello, Sarah Mosden, Nick Freiman, Katherine Gerdes, Haylee Karpman and Alexandra Caffrey.
The finalists survived a pressure-packed, nerve-shattering semi-final round that played out before a crowd of about 400. A champion will be crowned on each level with the two winners receiving a professional recording session and free air time on WBLI - 106.1.



Huntington teachers Peter Crugnale, Nicole Nicole Parrett, Paul Esposito and Veronica Escamilla will also be singing.The event, which is now in its second year, is once again being coordinated by high school orchestra director Lisa Leonardi. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit orchestra student scholarships. A professional concert-like atmosphere can be expected both inside the auditorium and in the lobby area. This is the real thing.
The show is open to the general public.
