Top Students Honored at
Flower Hill

As Flower Hill School Principal Marlon Small went about congratulating a group of youngsters who earned student of the month awards for March, there were plenty of toothy grins and laughs to go around.
The monthly ceremony is one of the true joys of Mr. Small’s job. The principal said he never tires of giving a pat on the back to a hardworking student. The most recent award winners were chosen based on their exceptional classroom efforts, general helpfulness to classmates and teachers, outstanding citizenship around the building and respect for others.
The honorees for March included Manuel Aviles Jr., C.R. Pulizzotto, Charlie Blitz, Leslie Rivera, Brenda Acevedo, Aiden Lefebvre, Anthony Wiese, Christopher Segreti, John Panos, Sarah Spitz, Bryce Vitulli, Shannon Lawlor, Manuel Villalta-Reyes, Henry Cartwright, Julio Lazo, Lucas Lorenz, Eylin Garciaguirre-Yanes, Muhsin Muslim and Matthew Edlin.
As is tradition, the top students were presented with certificates, posed for a group photo that has been placed in the school lobby and had their names read aloud over Flower Hill’s public address system.
“All of us at Flower Hill take particular enjoyment in calling attention to a job well done,” Mr. Small said.
