M.I.C.K. Memorial BB Tournament
on Nov. 13

When tragedy strikes a family in Huntington, all of a sudden the town doesn't seem quite as large. The community comes together and rallies in support of those suffering. Just such a phenomenon will be put on display when the M.I.C.K. Memorial Tournament debuts at Huntington High School on Saturday, November 13.
The 3-on-3 basketball event will honor Michael Luckow, a married father of three young boys residing in the Huntington School District. Mr. Luckow, a parent active in school related activities, passed away suddenly in late June. He was just 44.
The Michael R. Luckow Memorial Fund was created to help the family now and in the future. The November 13 tournament will feature five separate divisions. Teams must consist of four players each.
The schedule for the day will be as follows: 4th grade: 9 a.m.; 5th/6th grade: 10 a.m.; 7th/8th grade: 11 a.m.; high school: 12 p.m.; adult: 1 p.m. Play is expected to wrap-up by 3 p.m.
Teams can be comprised of four boys/men or four girls/women or any co-ed combination that totals four players. The fee is $80 per team if registered prior to November 1. After that date, the fee is $100.

The event is sponsored by Rookies Sports Club. Kids will eat free at Rookies on November 13 from 2-5 p.m. with every adult entrée purchased. Rookies will donate 10 percent of its proceeds during the three hour period to the Michael R. Luckow Memorial Fund.
