Trustees Appoint Huntington High School Club Advisors

 

Huntington School Board members put more than two dozen Huntington High School club advisors in place for the 2009/10 school year including teachers Fred Bisogno and Anthony Troffa, who were reappointed as faculty advisors for the student government.

 

Trustees also appointed numerous honor society advisors including Kristin Singer (art), Aimee Antorino (English), Helen Guarino (English), Deidre Mayer (French), Silvia Gilbert (Italian), Mercy Pena (Spanish), Joseph Cohen (Nathan Hale chapter - National Honor Society) and Doris Quintilian (math).

 

Individual class advisors include Michael Schwendemann (senior), Eliana Oranges (junior), Lori Pyzocha (junior), Camille Tedeschi (sophomore), Erik Bruckbauer (sophomore), Casey Horowitz (sophomore) and Lauren Thomas (sophomore).

 

Trustees appointed Mickey Baron (The Dispatch – literary and printing), Kenneth Krummenacker (Etcetera), Roy Dumar (Gay & Straight Alliance), Suzette Biagi (Grandfriends, Students for World Unity), Camille DeCanio (Grandfriends, Students for World Unity), Michael Swendemann (Huntington Outreach Peer Educators, Drama), Robert Gilmor (Habitat for Humanity), Andrea Neugebauer (Key club), Joan Lehnert (Mathletes 10-12), Lori Pyzocha (Science Research club), Rhonda Nixon (Step team), Youlanda Carey (Step team), Heather Swan (Video club), Pamela Piffard (The Huntingtonian yearbook: art, literary, photographic), Elizabeth Casazza (The Huntingtonian yearbook: business) and Kenneth Gilbert (stage crew).

 

“We have a wonderful after school club program in place and all students are encouraged to participate in it,” Superintendent John J. Finello said.
