2009 Huntington Football Schedule
With the fall football season fast approaching, Section XI has posted varsity schedules on its website (www.sectionxi.org). The Huntington Blue Devils will kick-off the 2009 campaign on Friday, Sept. 11 at Islip at 7 p.m.
The regular season will consist of eight games, split equally between home and away contests:
• Friday, Sept. 11 Huntington at Islip 7 p.m.
• Thursday, Sept. 17 Huntington at Deer Park 3:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Sept. 26 Eastport-South Manor at Huntington 1:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 3 Kings Park at Huntington 1:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 10 Sayville at Huntington 2 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 17 Harborfields at Huntington 2 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 24 Huntington at Half Hollow Hills West 2 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 31 Huntington at Miller Place 1:30 p.m.
The Blue Devils’ game against Harborfields on October 17 will be the centerpiece for Huntington High School’s Homecoming Day activities that afternoon and will include the crowning of the Homecoming king and queen during half-time festivities. An 11:30 a.m. parade through Huntington village will precede the football game.
