Adult Ed Program Seeks Course Proposals
The Huntington adult and continuing education program is seeking proposals for new courses for the 2010 spring semester. Program Director Kenneth A. Card, Jr. is reaching out to the community and asking those who are interested in teaching a course to submit a brief proposal that includes a description of the class or seminar.
Some of the topics Dr. Card would like to add to the program, in either full course or seminar form include: Bridge, crocheting, beginner ESL – English as a Second Language, Quicken basic, digital cameras in a flash, advanced yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, tap dancing, Hip-Hop dance class, exercise and nutrition course or seminar, health and stress management workshop, American Sign Language for beginners, identity theft, educating your teenager on credit card use seminar, how to pay for college without going broke, woodworking, photograph your children like a pro, studio art, how to sell items using eBay, how to sell your home with or without a broker, debt-free lifestyle, financial planning for women and the men who love them, haircutting, introduction to guitar, community band (jazz, swing and orchestra.)
Brief course and seminar proposals should be submitted no later than Wednesday, December 2. The proposal should include a list of required materials and the minimum number of students needed to run the course. The spring semester will begin during the week of February 22, 2010.
