School Retiree Passes Away at 98
Florence Smith, who worked as an attendance supervisor in the Huntington School District from September 1, 1953 to June 30, 1970 recently passed away at age 98. She was the district’s second oldest retiree at the time.
Ms. Smith graduated from the State University of Ohio in June 1934. She was a certified elementary grade level and attendance teacher. In Huntington, she worked in the district office.
Born July 16, 1911, Ms. Smith passed away on December 8. At the time of her passing she was residing in Snohomish, Washington.
