Brick Walkway Installation Fundraiser this Saturday

The campaign to install an engraved brick walkway near the entrance to Huntington High School is nearing its final stage. The installation process is the Eagle Scout project of Tyler May, a Huntington senior, who is active in the school community and a member of the Blue Devil marching band. The award will culminate his long involvement with the Boy Scouts.

To help raise funds to cover installation related expenses, Mr. May is hosting a car wash this Saturday, August 29 from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Allstate Insurance building parking lot located at the intersection of Park Avenue and Broadway.

The engraved bricks were purchased by alumni and community members in honor of loved ones. The concrete sidewalks in front of Huntington High School were replaced this summer. The engraved brick walkway area has been framed out in a prominent location and is expected to become a focal point for visitors approaching the building.
