Woodhull School Seeks Speakers for Career Day

Woodhull Intermediate School is reaching out to the Huntington community for speakers to participate in a career day at the school on Thursday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Speakers from all walks of life and every possible type of career are welcome. Participants will be asked to share information about their job, special training or education that might be necessary for the position, personal experiences and interesting aspects of a person’s respective work duties.

Students will be invited to ask questions and organizers hope for lively and informative exchanges. Woodhull enrolls about 500 students in grades four through six. Participants in the day will have an opportunity to meet with groups of students.

For more information or to register as a participant contact Woodhull teacher David Benjamin at 673-2030 or dbenjamin@hufsd.edu.

“We are looking for professionals interested in spending some time talking about what they do in their careers,” Mr. Benjamin said. “We are open to all sorts of jobs. Your help in showing children that their career possibilities are endless has helped to shape the future for so many of our students. I am excited about making this day a huge success.”
