Trustees Appoint Huntington High School Club Advisors


Huntington School Board members approved a long list of Huntington High School club supervisors for the 2008/09 school year including teachers Fred Bisogno and Anthony Troffa, who were reappointed as student government faculty advisors.

 

Trustees also appointed numerous honor society advisors including Ayallah Jeddah (art), Kelly Quintero (English), Helen Guarino (English), Deidre Mayer (French), Silvia Gilbert (Italian), Roy Dumar (Nathan Hale chapter - National Honor Society) and Doris Quintilian (math).

 

Individual class advisors include Jennifer Trott (freshman), Eliana Oranges (sophomore), Lori Pyzocha (sophomore), Michael Schwendemann (junior), Camille Tedeschi (senior) and Erik Bruckbauer (senior).

 

Trustees also appointed Brian Stellato (Music Theory I), Mickey Baron (The Dispatch – literary), Kasmira Mohanty (The Dispatch – printing), Kenneth Krummenacker (Etcetera), Roy Dumar (Gay & Straight Alliance), Suzette Biagi (Grandfriends, Students for World Unity), Camille DeCanio (Grandfriends, Students for World Unity), Michael Swendemann (Huntington Outreach Peer Educators, Drama), Robert Gilmor (Habitat for Humanity), Andrea Neugebauer (Key club), Joan Lehnert (Mathletes 10-12), Lori Pyzocha (Science Research club), Camille Tedeschi (Social Issues), Rhonda Nixon (Step team), Yolanda Carey (Step team), Heather Swan (Video club), Pamela Piffard (The Huntingtonian yearbook: art, business, literary, photographic) and Kenneth Gilbert (stage crew).
Eileen DeAngelis was appointed to serve as the central treasurer of the high school club program.

 

“We have an exceptional after school club program in place for high school students and encourage everyone to participate in it,” Superintendent John J. Finello said.
