Woodhull Student is Famous after Puzzle is Published
Charles Beers is “famous” after a puzzle he created was published in a recent issue of Nickelodeon Fun Puzzles and Games magazine. The Woodhull Intermediate School sixth grader is quite a young man, with an active mind and talents in a variety of areas
The magazine is aimed at kids between the ages of 7-12 and is “filled with full-color, fun puzzles, word searches, mazes and easy crosswords. There are also riddles and pictures to draw, all featuring favorite Nickelodeon characters,” according to promotional ad. It is published six times a year.
Woodhull Principal Kenneth A. Card, Jr. said that Mr. Beers is a perfect puzzle-maker. “He enjoys doodling. His teacher from last year recalls that he often times would draw after completing his class work. It is not surprising that he was published in Nickelodeon magazine.”
Around the Huntington School District, Mr. Beers is becoming better known. “This is a wonderful achievement for a hard working student,” Superintendent John J. Finello said. “Charles is well-liked by his teaches and highly regarded by the entire Woodhull community. All of us are proud of him.”
