Blue Devil Lax Shoots for a Cure
The Huntington boys’ lacrosse team will battle Cold Spring Harbor on Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. on the synthetic turf field at Blue Devil Stadium. The game will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and be televised by Madison Square Garden Network.
The 2nd annual Diabetes Shootout pits two state powers against one another for an early season game that has the potential to become an instant classic. The contest will be preceded by a junior varsity game between the two teams at 11 a.m.
Admission is free. Refreshments will be sold by the Blue Devil Booster Club. The scourge of diabetes has touched a member of Huntington head coach Paul McDermott’s family, making the need to find a cure a personal quest for him.
