March Madness Coming for the Booster Club
The Blue Devil Booster Club’s March Madness reception is just around the corner. The organization will host the annual event on Sunday, March 30 between 2-5 p.m. at Christopher’s Courtyard Café, located at 8 Wall Street in Huntington Village.
Last year’s March Madness get-together attracted a throng of Blue Devil aficionados, including parents, coaches, alumni and fans. Admission is priced at $50 (no one under 21 years of age will be admitted) with all proceeds being used by the Booster Club to fund its ambitious agenda.
A successful March Madness fundraiser is important to the continued growth of the Booster Club, which recently launched a grant program, allowing coaches to seek funds for items not available through the regular budget process. The club has been raising money to provide support for annual scholarships, purchase of equipment, summer sports programs and refreshments at various athletic events and awards nights.
The March 30th reception will include unlimited refreshments and food. Blue Devil supporters can stop by any time during the afternoon. For more information contact Carol Scully at cscully1@optonline.net.
