Flower Hill Honors Exceptional Students
Who doesn’t like getting a pat on the back? No matter how young or old, everyone likes a compliment along with some recognition for a job well done. So, the 24 Flower Hill Primary School students, who were recently recognized for their outstanding effort and achievement, loved every bit of attention they received.
Flower Hill’s February Students of the Month Award winners are a bright-eyed group of boys and girls who enjoy school and show enthusiasm that can only be described as refreshing. The youngsters worked hard in their classes, demonstrated exceptional effort, were good citzens and quite helpful to classmates and were a credit to their families and the community.
The honorees included Ryan Baker, Natalie Ciccone, Marko Palios, Michael Mathews, Keenan Lyons, Alexa Aviles, Bryce Vitulli, Jasson Garay, Yeny Escobar-Reyes, Beyonce Argenzio, Colby Tracy, Colette Barron, Evelyn Hernandez, Amelia Maggio, Zachary Varvatsas, Peter Ciccone, Quinn Blackburn, Ana Diaz, Patrick Hannon, Nydrea Serrano, Donald Stewart, Stefan Breskin, Emma Pandolfi and Isabella D’Angelo.
The students had their names read over the school’s public address system, were presented with handsome certificates by Principal Marlon Small and gathered for a photo to commemorate the occasion.
Teachers submitted nominations for the monthly award and make the recipients feel special in every way. “We like to recognize exceptional performance,” Mr. Small said. “It provides an incentive for students. We have a great group of students at Flower Hill this year!”
