Earlier this winter, Huntington High School hosted a group of 22 real estate agents from Daniel Gale.  Six students shared with the agents the academic opportunities and local internship programs they feel have made them more competitive with peers in other schools across Long Island and the country.  Students also spoke with pride about the art and sports programs and pointed to their practical benefits.

“Visitors learned the extent of support students can receive in the mainstream classes and special programs,” Principal Carmela Leonardi wrote in a recent staff newsletter.  Department directors discussed their respective disciplines and the agents toured the building.

“Visitors experienced the cafeteria and two changes of periods and loved everything they saw,” Dr. Leonardi said.  “All of us remain proud of the high level of instruction and the extent of enriching experiences we provide for all students.”
