Quackerjack and a Surprise Guest Coming to Huntington Intermediate
Huntington Intermediate School students will be decked out in orange, white and green on Fri. Jan. 18 to celebrate the Long Island Ducks baseball club.
The youngsters will be joined by a Ducks player and the team’s always popular mascot, Quackerjack. The visitors are coming to recognize and honor Daniel Mollitor, an award winning student essayist who wrote about “Why My Community is Special to Me.”
Students will also be presented with some baseball tips and have a chance to ask questions of the surprise Ducks player. The special appearance and assembly program is set for 1 p.m. in the school gym.
