Trustees Approve Non-Instructional Staff Changes
At their last meeting, Huntington School Board members approved numerous changes in the district’s non-instructional staff ranks.
Trustees accepted the resignations of clerical worker Elizabeth Voight (effective Dec. 28) and security guard Gloria Wilson (effective Jan. 28) and changed the assigned food service worker Aphrodite Bastakis from Jefferson Primary School to Huntington Intermediate School, retroactive to Oct. 30, 2007.
Appointments were approved for special education aides Michelle Bauman, Yvonne DaCosta, Katherine Tongue and Jennifer Schwab, Finley Middle School security guard Tracie Philbert and part-time Huntington High School food service worker Wanda Aviles. Each of the appointments was effective on Jan. 8 with the exception of Ms. DaCosta’s, which is effective on Jan. 22.
Trustees also added aides Rebecca Blair, Yvonne DaCosta, Alida Jade Edwards and Marissa Signorelli and clerical worker Lavonna Smith to the district’s non-instructional substitute list.
