Teachers Granted Leaves of Absence
Nine teachers were granted leaves of absence of varying lengths for child care purposes at the last Huntington School Board meeting.
Teachers Tara Adams (music), Robin Cirillo (compensatory math), Victoria Creighton (elementary), Corinne D’Andrea (math), Christina Droskoski (reading), Patricia Klee (speech therapist) and Nicole Lynch (music) were approved for full year leaves of absence for 2008-09.
Reading teacher Christa Scholosser was granted a leave that will run from March 26 through June 30. Woodhull Intermediate School classroom teacher Dina Telesco was approved for a leave that will extend from April 1 through June 30.
Jessie Brennan, who has been filling in for Ms. Brennan at Southdown Primary School as a reading teacher since November was approved to continue doing so through the remainder of the current school year.
School trustees also approved the return from leaves of absence of teachers Eileen Melloy (ESL) and Amy Worth (art), effective September 1.
