Flower Hill Presents Awards to Top Students
Flower Hill Primary School honored 24 students for their exceptional performance in January, recognizing them for outstanding academic achievement, a positive atttitude, cooperation with classmates and staff and all-around excellence. The youngsters were nominated by members of the school’s faculty.
The honorees included Chas Forte, Jack Flores, John Panos, Megan Byrnes, Jonathan Koumas, Jaime Alas, Anna Crockett, Eren Aydin, Ikira Loadholt, Henry Cartwright, Takim Roland, Sophie Naidoo, John Riley, Peyton Gadaire, Hugh Smith, Sofia Ornato, Mia Idler, Mary Kate Wolber, Matthew Montefusco, Katya Danzinger, Jose Santos, Lauren McGlone, Layla DeVille and Aidan Joiner.
Principal Marlon Small presented each student with a handsome certificate that is sure to be showed off by parents for weeks to come. A group photo was also taken to commemorate the occasion.
“It’s nice to recognize students for working hard, giving their best effort and being good citizens,” Mr. Small said. Flower Hill faculty and staff try to make every school day fun, encouraging students to love learning. “If students love coming to school, they will do well here,” Mr. Small added
The latest award photo was added to a bulletin board display in the school lobby containing photos of student of the month ceremonies from previous months. The eye-catching arrangement is viewed by dozens of visitors each day.
