School Board Appoints Summer Literacy Staff
Joan Balsari, a second grade teacher at Washington Primary School will once again serve as administrator of the Huntington School District’s elementary school summer reading program, which will run from August 4-22.
Mrs. Balsari is a certified school administrator. She will supervise a staff that includes lead teachers Patricia Maltempo and Nicole Parrett and teachers Carolyn Naldi, Allison Murakyan, Suzanne Dinehart, Suzanne Knoerzer, Jenny Strachovsky, Allison Van Vange, Marisa Damiano, Beth Minoff, Lisa DeNicolis, Dorene Karivalis, Elaine McKeown, Laraine Schirripa and Heather Weinstein.
Catherine Cooper, Lisa Baldanza, Timothy Pillion, Peri Alfano and Shari Cerini were all approved to work as substitute teachers in the program on an as-needed basis.
