Summer Girls’ Basketball Camp Planned in Huntington
Brad Reminick is putting together a summer girls’ basketball camp at Huntington High School for students entering grades 4-9. The camp is slated for July 7-11 from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The registration fee is $115 and a ten percent sibling discount is available.
Reminick, who serves as Huntington’s head girls’ basketball coach, worked with several dozen budding players last summer. This year’s program will accommodate those ranging from beginner’s to players entering the junior varsity level.
The camp will include daily conditioning drills, skill development stations, contests and games. Players will be grouped based upon their age and ability. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt.
Sponsored by the Huntington Booster Club, the camp will look to provide participants with a solid basketball foundation. The Blue Devil varsity team has won 27 of 28 league games over the past two years and the program has become one of the best on Long Island. Reminick hopes to keep it that way by developing the next generation of top players.
