Speakers Still Needed for Huntington Intermediate’s Career Day
Huntington Intermediate School is seeking speakers for its annual Career Day scheduled for Thursday, October 25 beginning at 1:30 p.m. School librarian Pat Dillon is drumming up interest in the community for participants who are willing to discuss their career with students and participate in question and answer sessions.
“The students do a lot of background research on careers and in the past speakers have been very impressed with the quality of questions students ask,” Mrs. Dillon said. “It’s an incredibly rewarding few hours for both the speakers and the students. It’s a way for people in the community to participate in the school district.”
Individuals from every career field are invited to participate. “The greater the variety, the better,” said Mrs. Dillon in the hope as many people as possible will step forward and share their career stories with students.
For more information or to sign up as a speaker, call (673-2060) or e-mail Mrs. Dillon at pdillon@hufsd.edu.
