Huntington Foundation to Honor Vicki Mingin
Dr. Vicki Mingin will be honored by the Huntington Foundation for Excellence in Education with the Spirit Award at the 15th Annual Reach for the Stars fundraising gala on Friday, January 25, 2008 at the elegant Woodlands in Woodbury.
Dr. Mingin serves as the Huntington School District’s executive director of special education and student support services. A graduate of Huntington High School, she has worked in the district since 1982.
The Huntington Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of the district’s schools. Since parents created it in 1993, the Foundation has funded more than $650,000 worth of educator-generated grants.
Planning for the winter gala is well underway. The evening will feature cocktails, music, dancing, dinner, raffles, silent and live auctions and much more. Tickets will go on sale soon. Seating will be limited.
