College Athletic Night at Huntington High School on Oct. 23
Blue Devil athletes and their parents should not miss a special presentation hosted by Huntington High School in the School Heritage Museum (room 140) tomorrow night, Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m. Admission is free to College Athletic Night, but the information could very well turn into something priceless.
No registration is required for the event, which has been organized by Huntington college counselor Bernadette Walsh and Director of Athletics Georgia D. McCarthy. The featured speaker will be Wayne Mazzoni, an NCAA coach and author affiliated with the College Athletic Recruiting Seminar.
Helpful information will be presented for those interested in continuing their academic and athletic pursuits on the college level. Details concerning the NCAA Clearinghouse, eligibility requirements for Division I and Division II participation, suggestions on creating additional college options and a method to determine each individual’s “scholarship value” will be discussed.
The evening will also feature an informative question and answer period. The Huntington Booster Club will be on hand with Blue Devil apparel available for purchase.
For more information call the athletic office (673-2018) or the college counseling center (673-2131).
