Board of Education Goals for 2006-07
In order to improve student learning and achievement for every student, the Board of Education has established the following goals for the 2006-2007 academic year:
1. To develop a concrete plan to address the critical issues regarding space at Woodhull Intermediate School, Southdown Primary School and Jefferson Primary School including, but not limited to, constructing additional instructional space, program changes and a continuing dialogue with Town and County Officials.
2. To continue to insure complete and strict compliance with the mandates, policies and directives of the New York State and Federal regulatory agencies regarding the finances and fiscal health of our District.
3. To actively support the nutrition and wellness of all students through policy, regulations and education with a particular emphasis on serving healthy, goodtasting food in our schools and the encouragement of physical activity for our students.
4. To continue to work to improve communications among and between the Board of Education, our Administration and staff, our students, our parents and our residents.
